West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) invites recruitment notification for filling up 390 vacancies in Inspector,Minority Development Officer(MDO), Research Investigator.Eligible candidates can apply through only online applications on or before 19th January 2015 (upto 4.00PM) at www.wbssc.gov.in.

Fishery Extension Officer under West Bengal Junior Fishery Service Grade – II (Group – B) : 40 posts

The above vacancies are comes under the department of Backward Classes Welfare , Minority Affairs and Madrassah Education ,Cultural Research Institute under Backward Classes Welfare Department,Fisheries.

Age Limit : Applicants age should be between 20 years to 32 years as on 01.01.2014.Age relaxation is applicable for as per govt norms.

Pay Scale : Selected candidates will get pay of Pay Band – 3 (Rs. 7,100/- – 37,600/-) Grade Pay- Rs. 3,900/-.

Application Fee : Applicants need to pay for examination fee of All categories of candidates except Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Persons with Disabilities (of 40% and above only) shall pay Examination fees of Rs. 200/- and Processing fees of Rs. 20/- (Total amount – Rs. 220/-) only.

Educational Qualification : For Inspector, Backward Classes Welfare & Minority Development Officer : Candidates must be possess a Degree from any recognized University or its equivalent. Note : Candidates Must have the knowledge to read, write and speak Bengali (not required in case of Nepali speaking candidates from hill areas of the District of Darjeeling).

For Research Investigator : Applicants should completed UG Degree with Anthropology or Economics and Sociology. At least two years experience on Socio-economic investigation surveys and analysis of data in an Organization or Institute of repute.

For Fishery Extension Officer post : Candidates should have completed 4 year UG Degree in Fishery Science from a recognized University. Well Knowledge of Fisheries, Aquaculture, Aquatic resources and Fishing Harbours in West Bengal.Must be able to read and write Bengali or Nepali.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will selected based on their performance in the written examination.
