Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Recruitment 2015 invites application for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2015 for the posts of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) vacancies in various cadres. Eligible candidates may apply from 16th May 2015 to 12th June 2015.
UPSC conducting the Central Civil Services Examination namely Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT) for IFS, IAS and IPS (Group A and Group B) posts under the Government of India. It has three stages like preliminary exam, main exam and interview but very extremely challenging competition. The entire selection process last for about 12 months.

Exam Pattern for the UPSC Civil Service:
Preliminary exam consists of two papers based on multiple choice/objective type questions.
Paper I: General Studies, Time Duration: 02:00 hrs, Maximum marks: 200
Paper II: CSAT, Time Duration: 02:00 hrs, Maximum marks: 200
Civil Service Exam will be in offline mode so candidates need to bring their black ball point pen and necessary documents, hall tickets and id proof.
Eligibility Criteria for the UPSC IAS & IPS: Should be an Indian Citizen and also Citizens of Nepal and Bhutan, immigrants with Indian origin and Tibetan refugees need to submit a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India to apply for these jobs.
Syllabus for the UPSC Civil Service Exam:
General Studies: Current Events, General Science, History of India, Indian and World Geography, Climate Change, Bio Diversity, Indian Polity and Governance and other related subjects.
CSAT: Basic Numeracy, Data Interpretation, Decision Making and Problem Serving, General Mental Ability, Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability and other related topics.
