Tripura TPSC has released Junior Engineer Scheme of Exam Pattern & Syllabus for the recruitment written examination 2019. Candidates who all applied for the JE posts can download the scheme of exam for the preparation of written exam 2019.

TPSC Junior Engineer Syllabus 2019

Tripura Public Service Commission TPSC was recently announced the recruitment 2019 notification for fill 298 Civil, Electrical & Mechanical Junior Engineer JE vacancies. All the applied candidates are now looking and searching their exam pattern 2019.

According to the official notice selection will be based on written exam and interview for the selection process. The written exam will be contains objective type of multiple choice based questions for the written test 2019.

The Written Examination carrying 500 marks shall consist of 1(one) compulsory paper titled “General Studies” of one hour duration carrying 100 marks and 2(two) Optional Papers in the appropriate branch of engineering of 3 hours  duration carrying 200 marks each.

Questions in all the papers shall be answered in English only.

The Paper “General Studies” will be of 100% MCQ type and will comprise of 50 no. of questions each carrying 2 (Two) Marks. There shall be negative marking of a one (1) mark for each wrong answer/multiple answer in the paper “General Studies”. The answers in this paper are to be encoded in the OMR Answer Sheet by Black Ball Point Pen only.

MCQ part of respective Engineering Paper-I & II are also required to be answered in the supplied OMR sheets by Black Ball Point Pen only. However, there shall be no negative marking for wrong/multiple answer. Beside this, all other parts are of Conventional type.


  1. Comprehension of a given passage : 20 Marks
  2. Usage (corrections) : 10 Marks
  3. Vocabulary (synonyms & antonyms, idioms & phrases) : 10 Marks
  4. General knowledge : 20 Marks

(Questions will include knowledge of Indian and geography of such a nature which the candidates should be able to answer without any special study. Questions on Tripura, its historian topography will also be included.)

5. Current Affairs : 20 Marks

(The questions will include knowledge of Indian current events  and of such matters of every day observation and experience in  their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject.)

6. Mental Ability : 20 Marks


  1. 15 questions of 6 marks each having answers restricted to 40 words : 90 Marks
  2. 40 multiple choice type questions of 2 marks each : 80 Marks
  3. 05 numerical questions of 6 marks each : 30 Marks
