NEET 2020: National Testing Agency has announced NEET (UG) 2020 exam date in the month of August, 2019. NEET UG 2020 application form will be commenced from on 2nd December 2019. NTA National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NTA NEET) is a national level medical entrance examination which is conducted for yearly once. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test will be conducted on 3rd May 2020. Interested candidates can apply via NTA official page as per the eligibility criteria of NEET-UG 2020.

In 2020, Dr Harsh Vardhan, Ministry of Health and Welfare have announced that the AIIMS and JIPMER entrance examination is cancelled. The MBBS and BDS admission will be provided at the AIIMS and JIPMER only on the basis of NEET examination. NEET UG is a single entrance examination which is conducted for getting admission into the medical courses of MBBS and BDS across in India.

NEET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Students who wish to appear in the NEET-UG 2020 Exam should need to fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility aspects.

Age Limit

Applicants should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission. The upper age limit is 25 years on the date of examination with relaxation of 5 years for SC / ST / OBC candidates.

Nationality

Number of Attempts

There is no limit for appearing in the entrance examination of NEET-UG.

Qualifying Examination

Candidates should have passed the 12th or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with the minimum aggregate of 50% (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates) marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/ Biotechnology and English.

Candidates who have studied biology as an additional subject will eligible to apply for NEET-UG 2020 Examination.

Reservation of Seats

The admission will be provided for the qualified candidates from the respective categories based on the merit list. Here we have mentioned the percentage of reservation of seats under the different category of candidates.

NEET 2020 Application Form

Candidates can fill the application form for NEET-UG 2020 exam in the mode of online at the official page of NTA NEET. Students who have satisfied the above-mentioned eligibility criteria can fill the NEET application form. The entire processes for filling the application form are mentioned as follows.

Step 1: Registration

Students should provide a valid email address and mobile number. The entire communication will be sent to the registered email and mobile number of the candidate. In the registration process, applicants should have to submit the below mentioned necessary details.

All the above details are must be ensured by the applicants before submitting the entered details. After submitting the above details, the system generated application number and password will be sent to the registered email and mobile number. Applicants are advised to keep safe the application number and password throughout the admission process.

Step 2: Upload the Scanned Documents

Applicants should have to log in with the system generated application number and password. In this stage, they must have to submit personal and educational details. It can be listed as follows.

  • Choice of Examination City
  • Class 10th / 11th / 12th or Equivalent

Documents to be uploaded

  • Candidate’s Passport size Photograph

The maximum size of the scanned images of the candidate’s photograph should be in the range of 10KB – 200KB and their signature between 4KB – 30KB in the format of JPG/JPEG.

Step 3: Pay the Application Fees

Mode of Payment

There are two ways to pay the application fees.

  • Cash Deposit through e-Challan

Applicants can pay the application fees in the way of online by choosing any one of the below-mentioned transaction methods.

After successfully submitting the scanned documents, it will be redirected into the payment gateway for paying the application fees of NEET PG 2020.  The confirmation page will be generated once the payment is successfully paid by the applicants. Candidates should have to print receipt of fees paid in the online mode at the time of fees paying.

Step 4: Print the Confirmation Page

Finally, Students should keep safe the printed documents of filled application and the proof of fee paid until the admission process has been done.

Marking Scheme of NEET-UG 2020

NEET 2020 exam has a total of 180 questions in the form of Multiple Choice Questions. For each correct answer, the candidate will get 4 marks. There is a negative mark for the incorrect answers i.e., 1 mark will be deducted from the total marks for incorrect option. There are no marks will provide for unattempted questions.

NEET 2020 Exam Admit Card

The admit card for NEET-UG 2020 Examination will be issued on 27th March 2020 in the mode of online. Candidates who have filled and submitted the NEET UG application form can be able to get the admit card from the official page of NTA NEET. How to Download NEET UG Admit Card 2020?

Aspirants should follow the below-mentioned instructions for how to download the NEET 2020 Hall Ticket.

Challenging the Answer key

After the declaration of the provisional answer key, candidates can raise their hands for the answer to questions that they think are wrong. They can participate in the contest to provide their suggestions about that the answer the question with paying the applicable fees of Rs.1000/- for each question within the stipulated time. The paid amount will not be refunded.

How to challenge the NEET 2020 Answer Key

NEET 2020 Merit List

NEET 2020 Counselling

All the shortlisted candidates are will be called for the counselling process as per their obtained merit list. The counselling will be conducted in the mode of online on a particular day for the eligible candidates. The seat will be filled to the aspirants on the basis of 15% All India Quota and 85% State Quota.

If any seats are remaining after the counselling process of All India Quota, these seats will hand over to the state counselling authority to fill the seats at the private and deemed universities.
