The Water Resources Department is one of the major department in the Government of Karnataka is headed by the Hon’ble Minister for Major and Medium Irrigation. The Department harnesses Surface Water for Irrigation and Drinking Water Purposes.
The Water Resources Department consists of three major corporations-KBJNL, KNNL and CNNL and they have been established in 1994, 1998 and 2003 respectively. These three corporations are unique establishment of the state of Karnataka as these are envisages as Special Purpose Vehicle for speedy implementation of irrigation projects and to enable the Government to borrow funds from external sources.

Karnataka PSC released the result notice of the Provisional Select List of candidates for 365 posts of ASSISTANT ENGINEER CIVIL, 40 posts of ASSISTANT ENGINEER MECHANICAL, 14 posts of JUNIOR ENGINEER MECHANICAL and 131 posts of JUNIOR ENGINEER CIVIL in the Department of WATER RESOURCES prepared in accordance with Rule 7 of Karnataka Civil Services(Water Resources Service) (Assistant Engineers and Junior Engineers Special Recruitment) Rules 2013 is hereby published for information of the candidates.
